How Phinai came to be
Phinai opened its doors on Surawong Road because its founders saw a gap that many families feel: estate and inheritance matters are handled too quickly, with too much jargon, at a time when families least want uncertainty. The name Phinai — meaning "disciplined" in Thai — reflects the patient, thorough manner in which every matter is approached.
The practice focuses exclusively on inheritance law in Thailand. That focus means the team stays current with amendments to the Civil and Commercial Code, understands the procedural steps at Bangkok's probate courts, and can explain what each stage means in plain terms without loss of precision.
Over the years, Phinai has worked with Thai families, long-term residents, and foreign nationals holding property in Thailand. The pace of each matter is set by the client, not by the office schedule. Questions are never unwelcome — they are, in fact, part of how good estate planning gets done.

Thai inheritance law draws from Books V and VI of the Civil and Commercial Code. The rules around statutory heirs, the validity conditions for different will forms, and the probate court procedures in Bangkok each carry specific requirements. Knowing these thoroughly, and knowing how they apply to an individual's particular assets and family structure, is the core of what we offer.
